Meeting in the library

"Sometimes I wonder how many right people there are..." said Nymphadora...

"So do I." Jenn paused, "Slytherin has this really bad name but they're not all that bad. I wouldn't say that they were all that great but they're not completely evil either."

"The truth is that some of them are ok... but some others make Devil jealous..." muttered Nymphadora...

"That's true. Try having to live with them in that stupid common room, it's so bad." Jenn replied.

"I see... this is a reason why I asked the hat not to send me there before I knew what it had decided... I heard on the train that Slytherin people are too bad and I became a bit afraid of them..." said Nymphadora... Jenn was the first person to know that she did that...

She nodded, "If it wasn't for the fact that most of my family are Slytherins I'd feel the same way." she admitted.

"But... you don't actually seem to be a pure Slytherin..." noticed Nymphadora...

"I've not grown up around them, I don't think and feel the same way they do. That's probably why so many of them hate me." Jenn replied, "Fear is the only power you can have over Slytherins and for some reason that's what I have. I instill fear into them simply because of my name."

"That sounds better than being ignored..." muttered Nymphadora...

"It's not, I hate being feared by them, I've not even done anything." She replied.

"They respect you though... you're not their funny toy!" Nymphadora said a little louder than she should... "Oh, sorry for raising my voice..." she muttered after a while feeling ashamed of herself...

"It's fine, you don't need to apologize, you're right, kind of." Jenn paused, "They don't respect me but they're too scared to speak against me or to try and make fun of me." she looked straight at Nymph, "I can stop them making you their 'funny toy'." she said.

"Thanks Jenn, but you don't really have to! They won't stop... they respect you... of not respect, at least they find you important... don't lose your reputation for a not so important person..." Nymphadora smiled to Jenn... she doesn't deserve to become like me, she thought....

"Even if I tried they wouldn't shun me." Jenn sighed, "They won't bother you after tonight, I'll make sure of it." she replied, "I don't have a reputation to ruin." she laughed, "It's all down to my parents and brother."

"You are protected by them... thanks, anyway..."said Nymphadora blushing a little...

"No problem." She replied. "It's not that I'm protected by them, it's more that they think I'll be like them."

"This is what I mean... they think that you are going to be like them, so this protects you..." Nymphadora explained...

"Oh, in that case yeah, I guess they do sort of protect me." She replied.
